LAS VEGAS: AIR RAGE CAPITAL OF THE WORLD

LAS VEGAS: AIR RAGE CAPITAL OF THE WORLD

CLEVELAND (Wireless Flash) – Flying the friendly skies? You may want to avoid layovers in Las Vegas: It’s the air rage capital of the world. That’s according to Andrew Thomas, co-author of the upcoming book Air Rage: Crisis In the Skies (Prometheus Books). He says Sin City has by far the highest number of air rage incidents – as many as 10 a week. Thomas – whose co-author is a top aviation official – says Vegas gets more than its share of abusive plane passengers because of the many people coming in and out on cheap flights, high amounts of passenger boozing and drugging and stress caused by gambling losses. Other top airports for air rage include Chicago O’Hare, which Thomas estimates has 3 to 4 cases a week as well as New York’s JFK Airport and Miami International Airport, which each have at least one air rage incident a week.
