FORMER BLINK 182 MEMBER NOW HELPING HOMELESS

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash) – The former drummer from Blink 182 is hoping to help the homeless problem with a charity CD. Scott Raynor, who was asked to leave Blink 182 in 1998 after his alcohol use interfered with the band, says he’s on the wagon now and he wants to raise money for homeless teens. Scott says he became inspired to help the homeless after he learned “a friend of a friend” became a teen runaway who starved to death on the streets. Although the charity CD won’t be finished for a few months, he says it will be a collection of music and poetry from bands like TSOL, Buck-O-Nine, Agent 51 and other undiscovered bands. As of this moment, however, his former band won’t be participating.
