LIFESAVERS SEALS UP CANDY HOLES FOR CONTEST
PARSIPPANY, N.J. (Wireless Flash) The Life Savers company is fixing the hole in its famous candy. More than one million pieces of hole-less candy will go into circulation this month as part of a Life Savers Win the Hole Thing contest. The filled-in Life Savers will be packaged in regular rolls of the candy, and folks who find them will win a prize pictured on the candy, including a Volkswagen Beetle. Life Savers wont be filling in the holes permanently, though: A recent poll shows 40 percent of consumers think the hole is what makes the candy so unique and 10 percent like to stick their tongues in them.
