LEVI’S TO INTRODUCE $400 JEANS

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash) – Levi’s is studying its “jeaneology” to design a new line of jeans that will replicate one of the first pairs of jeans it ever made. Earlier this year, the company acquired an intact pair of 120-year-old Levi’s that they are now using as the model for a limited-edition line of dungarees. The so-called “Nevada” jeans will cost anywhere from $350 to $400 a pair and are being developed for release this November. Levi’s plans on producing 500 individually-numbered pairs of the antique jeans, which are said to look pretty much the same as the styles today, except for a thin “tool pocket” along the side.
