ST. LUCIA (Wireless Flash) – Eco-activist actor Dennis Weaver is giving his thumbs up to the world’s first resort to be powered solely by wind, solar and hydrogen power. Weaver is the spokesman for the Troumassee resort, which will open on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia next February. The 83-room beach-side hotel will run entirely on alternative energy sources culled from the sun, wind and water. It will also feature a recycling system that takes waste from hotel room toilets and returns it to the earth as a sort-of fertilizer for the tropical foliage. The six-acre resort will also have a spa and a “holistic rejuvenation clinic” which uses alternative medicine techniques.
