MEL GIBSON’S ‘BRAVEHEART’ KILT: $40,000

MEL GIBSON’S ‘BRAVEHEART’ KILT: $40,000

ORLANDO, Fla. (Wireless Flash) – A Scottish kilt worn by Mel Gibson in the movie Braveheart is expected to sell for as much as $40,000 at auction next month. Relatives of William Wallace – the real Scottish warrior depicted in the movie – will be selling more than 200 pieces of memorabilia from the flick on PlanetHollywood.com. The Wallace Clan Trust hopes the sale will raise at least $700,000 to help them buy a piece of Scottish land where Braveheart was captured by the English 700 years ago. The area is in danger of being turned into a housing development. Other items up for auction include Gibson’s Braveheart battle jacket, a battle mallet and a hankie Gibson carries in the last scene of the film.
