BUFFALO, N.Y. (Wireless Flash) – Beer is striking out with thirsty baseball fans while water is hitting home runs. According to sales figures from Sportservice, which supplies beverages to ballparks, many fans are passing up beer in favor of bottled water and snow cones. A spokesman says it’s a popular myth that ballparks sell truckloads of beer on hot days. Sales usually stay flat or even decline in hot weather because beer is such a filling drink.
