NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) – Actress Lauren Bacall and feminist Gloria Steinem have just been inducted into the “Tightwads Hall of Shame.” The honors are being handed out by Travel Holiday magazine, which reports Bacall once chewed out a waiter for not serving her the fava beans she requested with her fish dinner. Steinem reportedly ran one waiter ragged at New York City’s Cafe Taboc and then didn’t leave a dime for his efforts. But not all celebrities are cheapskates. George Clooney gets high marks from the wait staff at Chaya Brasserle in Los Angeles, who say George is so mindful of the staff with nice tips that whenever he comes they all want to serve him.
