AIR GUITARISTS TO HOLD WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

OULU, Finland (Wireless Flash) – Attention air guitar buffs: This Friday (Aug. 24) will kick off the 6th Annual World Air Guitar Championship in Oulu, Finland. In the first round of the two part competition, players will improvise air guitar movements to a song of their choice. In Round 2, contestants must realistically play to a rock song randomly picked just moments before they go on stage. Judges say the level of “air guitaring” has improved each year, and claim the secret to good air guitar playing is to not practice too much, which can make it look rehearsed. The winner of the competition will win a real electric guitar.
