CRICKET BETTER FOR KIDS THAN BASEBALL

OLD BRIDGE, N.J. (Wireless Flash) – The recent controversies at the Little League World Series are convincing some parents to have their kids take up cricket instead. According to Ashok Patel of the U.S. Cricket Academy, cricket could soon become as popular as baseball in America. So far 14 states have cricket leagues and kids who play it love it because there’s few fights and little cursing. Patel thinks cricket is a better game than baseball because its requires strategy and skill more than brute strength. He hopes to organize a professional cricket league in the U.S. but, until then, is concentrating on teaching the game to youngsters. This weekend the U.S. National Under 13 Cricket Tournament will take place in Oak Bridge, New Jersey.
