DON’T MAKE FUN OF RON POPEIL’S SPRAY-ON HAIR

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) – Want to make infommercial gadget guru Ron Popeil die of embarrassment? Make fun of his GLH hair dye formula. The 66-year-old Popeil – also the creator of the Inside-The-Eggshell Egg Scrambler – claims his inventions are like his children and his feelings get hurt when late night comics make fun of the products. He’s especially sensitive about his “GLH” spray-on hair – which he says has “given hope to millions” – including himself because he uses the product to cover up his own bald spot. In addition, Popeil doesn’t like folks making fun of his infommercials, which he says have “solid entertainment value.” Popeil need not fret anymore, because his infommercial innovations will be getting the tribute treatment next month, when the Electronic Retailers Association gives him a Lifetime Achievement Award.
