SALES OF AMERICAN FLAG HANDBAGS TO SOAR?

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (Wireless Flash) – Sales of American flags have been soaring since Tuesday’s terrorist attacks – and it looks like the same thing is happening for handbags decorated with Old Glory. Beverly Hills-based handbag designer Timmy Woods reports she’s seen an increase in sales of her carved wooden American-flag handbags – particularly one design which features the Republican symbol of an elephant. Woods predicts the recent terrorist catastrophe will lead to a resurgence of the American flag in other fashions as well, with the Stars and Stripes popping up on fancy frocks. Meanwhile, she says she wants to do her part for the victims of the tragedy by donating all proceeds from sales of her American flag handbags to the funds being set up for victims’ families. Since each bag sells for $350-$500, that could end up being a tidy sum.
