That’s the advice from a real-life Will & Grace couple in San Francisco, who claim gay guys just love to fix up their straight female friends with decent heterosexual guys. Laura Rafaty and Robert Hopcke, authors of the new book, Straight Women, Gay Men (Wildcat Canyon Press), claim gay guys attract “the smartest, most attractive women around,” so they’re a great source for dates. Even better: They claim ladies are turned on by men who aren’t freaked out by gays. Meanwhile, Hopcke says the biggest benefit a straight man can get by having a gay pal is that the gay friend will be happy to escort the straight guy’s girlfriend to places straight guys don’t always like, such as the theater or shopping mall.
