DAVE BARRY: ‘I HOPE WE’LL BE ABLE TO LAUGH AT ‘BIG TROUBLE’ SOMEDAY’

MIAMI (Wireless Flash) – Humorist Dave Barry says he hopes someday Americans will be able to laugh at Big Trouble, one of the films being postponed in the wake of America’s terrorist attacks. The comedy caper – which is based on Barry’s first novel – was supposed to be released last weekend but was yanked because it features a plane hijacking. Barry says he’s certain the movie won’t run anytime this year, and thinks postponing the film was the right decision. However, he admits “...it was a downer” to find out the film wasn’t being released because he thinks it’s pretty darn funny. Still, Barry has hope for the future. “I hope someday we can watch this movie and laugh,” he says.
