HONG KONG – Hong Kong cocktail waitresses are fuming over a possible ban on cigarette smoking in bars and clubs. The waitresses claim the restriction could kill business as much as 10 percent. About 2000 hostesses recently protested the proposed ban by carrying signs that read, “Oppose the vile law, save our rice bowls.”

SEAFORD, N.Y. – A Long Island man who racked up $10,000 in parking tickets has been arrested. The 26 year old averaged three to four parking tickets a week, most from parking illegally at a train station where he caught a daily commuter train into Manhattan.
