CARTOONISTS AGAINST TERRORISM

CARTOONISTS AGAINST TERRORISM

CHICAGO (Wireless Flash) – Is the pen is mightier than the sword? That’s the hope of a woman in Chicago who’s starting something called “Cartoonists Against Terrorism.” Adrienne Sioux Koopersmith is rallying cartoonists around the world to create strips that “toon out terrorism” for an exhibit that will take place in Chicago next September 11. She hopes to get cartoons from 100 artists and says her only rules are no profanity and no bad drawing. Koopersmith says so far she’s only received one cartoon – a strip from an Egyptian artist which depicts America and Egypt squashing terrorism, which appears in the form of big ugly rat. She thinks the exhibit is one more way for folks to recover from the horrendous terror attacks and feels the cartoons can make people see the sunny side of life.
