CAMARILLO, Calif. (Wireless Flash) – The actor who played Billy Jack is fighting for his life. Tom Laughlin – who played the enigmatic Indian karate expert in the 1971 film – has been diagnosed with two deadly illnesses: an aggressive form of tongue cancer and a serious heart condition. On top of all that, the 60-year-old actor was recently scheduled to undergo a 10-hour surgery until his doctors discovered that one of his arteries is 100 percent clogged, one 75 percent blocked and another one is 60 percent blocked. Although doctors want to put Laughlin on chemotherapy, his cardiologist says his heart can’t withstand such a strong treatment. Laughlin’s spokeswoman says the actor and his wife, Billy Jack co-star Dolores Taylor, are exploring options with various doctors around the country.
