QUILTERS STICKING IT TO TERRORISTS WITH MEMORIAL QUILT

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (Wireless Flash) – A group of quilters is sticking it to terrorists by creating a memorial quilt to the victims of the September 11 attacks in America. The September 11th Memorial Quilt Group plans to create three quilts featuring the images of victims which will be displayed where the attacks occurred in New York, Washington D.C. and Somerset County, Pennsylvania. Each 40-foot by 19-foot quilt will contain 6000 photo patches of the victims arranged in color groupings to resemble an American flag from afar. The group still needs volunteers, material and sponsors, but a spokesman says the quilts should be finished by late 2002.
