MINNEAPOLIS (Wireless Flash) – Would you believe some people actually want to get even MORE e-mail? A Minneapolis-based web developer named Bertine Holmboe has created a sort- of cyber pen pal system called “E-mail Roulette” to satisfy the cravings of e-mail junkies around the world. Folks who sign up for the service receive hundreds of e-mails from other subscribers – everything from goofy poetry to messages asking for advice about travel plans. It sounds like spam-mail, but Holmboe says the difference is E-Mail Roulette users actually want the extra mail. Holmboe also says its a good way to meet people, although she personally wouldn’t hook up with anyone she met on E-Mail Roulette in person.
