WOMAN SCULPTS DUCT TAPE DAVID LETTERMAN

SEYMOUR, Ind. (Wireless Flash) – If art is in the eye of the beholder, then a grandmother from Seymour, Indiana, thinks David Letterman is very sticky. Sixtysomething Judy Carter has created a life-sized bust of Letterman made entirely out of duct tape. The sticky sculptor required three rolls of tape to recreate Letterman’s hair, baseball cap and glasses but things got really sticky when she had to make Letterman’s ears, which Carter says “protrude strangely.” Grandma Carter hopes to win a prize in a duct tape sculpture contest later this month, but she admits she’s up against some sticky competition from other “Duct Tape Donatellos” who will display statues honoring Jay Leno, Rosie O’Donnell, and John Mellencamp.
