HALLOWEEN TERRORIST E-MAIL CAN’T BE RULED OUT AS HOAX

WASHINGTON (Wireless Flash) – Have you recently received an e-mail that warns you to avoid shopping malls on Halloween because of a possible terrorist attack? The FBI is now saying it can’t confirm whether the message is true or just another e-mail hoax. The e-mail began circulating on October 5 and was started by a southern- California woman who says she was merely forwarding information she heard from a friend. It details the story of a woman whose Afghan boyfriend abruptly disappeared in early September and then wrote her a letter begging her to avoid air travel on September 11 and shopping malls on Halloween. A spokeswoman for the FBI says agents are working to verify the validity of the e-mail, but at this time it’s unknown whether the message is a hoax.
