SINGING DETECTIVE RECORDS GOSPEL CD

COQUILLE, Ore. (Wireless Flash) – A singing detective from Oregon says he wants to get his fellow cops into the custody of the lord with a collection of gospel tunes. Retired police detective Bob Baughman claims that until he became a born- again Christian in 1987, he was so trigger-happy that his fellow officers gave him the nickname “The Widowmaker.” Now, he says he wants to help his fellow officers with a new gospel CD titled – appropriately enough – In His Custody. The tunes are old gospel standards such as “Just A Closer Walk With Thee” and feature Billy Graham’s organ player backing up Baughman. He admits his CD may be a hard sell with real cops, though, because many officers believe they’ll be considered “cowards” if they believe in God.
