KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (Wireless Flash) – The next martial arts star could be Jesus Christ if America’s most advanced taekwondo expert has his way. Grandmaster Edward Selis is the world’s only minister who combines Jesus with jujitsu and he’s the first non-Korean to earn a 9th degree Black Belt. Selis travels the U.S. teaching martial arts to Christians and while the Bible is vague on whether Jesus could karate chop bricks, he thinks Christ would like martial arts because it teaches a person to treat the human body as a temple. Although Selis wouldn’t mind combining his two passions by making the first martial arts movie set in biblical times, he says it won’t have a prayer “if there isn’t a good script.”
