A NEW WAY TO MAKE BEER: FERMENTUS INTERUPTUS
ST. CLOUD, Minn. (Wireless Flash) A Midwest-based chain of microbrewery restaurants has created a new method for brewing beer: Fermentus Interuptus. Instead of brewing the beer from start to finish at each restaurant, the Granite City Food and Brewery has developed a process which allows brewing to start at a central location. The unfermented liquid is then hauled to local restaurants to complete the process. A spokesman says Fermentus Interuptus is more efficient than brewing on site because it eliminates the need to buy a full set of brewing equipment for each restaurant.
