NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) – This year’s scariest Halloween costume isn’t Dracula, it’s the Sugar Plum Fairy. According to Good Housekeeping magazine, a “Sugar Plum Fairy” costume made by the Puppet Workshop is the most flammable kiddie costume on the market. Experts say the fabric on the $40 outfit burned quicker than other costume tested. Other outfits prone to flaming include a Scarecrow outfit by Rubies Costumes – especially the orange fabric – and the company’s Princess Bluestar costume, which has highly flammable collars and sleeves. However, not all Halloween costumes are as heated. Good Housekeeping says licensed Pikachu and Blues Clues costumes exceed federal standards for fire safety.
