5000 AMERICANS ‘SPENDING’ VETERANS DAY IN BIG APPLE

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) – This weekend, 5000 “economic patriots” will be doing their part for America by dropping their dollars in New York City. The tourists are making it their civic duty to visit New York on Veteran’s Day and spend their dough in Big Apple restaurants and shops. The spending spree is the brainchild of Mitchell Goldstone, a city commissioner from Irvine, California, who says economic patriots from 22 states and Canada will be converging on New York City to spend, spend, spend. In fact, all the “paytriots” paid full price for plane reservations to help out the struggling airlines and Goldstone says a few plan to promote world peace by eating in Middle Eastern restaurants. The money mad tourists will also be hitting New York clubs, strip bars, museums, theaters and other places whose attendance has suffered since September 11.
