AVOID ‘HARRY POTTER’ POTTY BREAKS

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) – A lot of kids won’t be able to sit through the extra-long 2.5 hours of the new Harry Potter movie without popping up for a potty break – but one parenting expert has some tips for parents to avoid what’s being called “Potter Potty Syndrome.” Janet Chan of Parenting magazine says parents should only bring potty-trained kids ages 8 or older to view the flick to prevent any unnecessary potty accidents. She also says parents should make sure kids use the bathroom before the lights go down and not sip super-sized soft drinks during the film. Still, Chan admits two and a half hours is also a long time for anyone to sit without a comfort break, so she recommends watching the film with another adult. That way, if a kid needs to go “toy-toy,” one adult can take the kid while the other stays put to tell the leaky little ones what they’ve missed on-screen.
