NEW STUDY: AIR RAGE IS ON THE RISE

CLEVELAND (Wireless Flash) – Tightened security at U.S. airports isn’t doing anything to stop air rage because it’s been on the rise since September 11. That’s according to a new study by air rage expert Andrew Thomas, who monitors air rage reports filed by police, FBI and FAA officials at 15 airports. He says air rage has increased at least 10 percent since last year and it just keeps getting worse in the wake of the terrorist attacks. Thomas says it may be because more people are drinking alcoholic beverages before flights to combat anxieties and more people are throwing hissy fits over strict new security measures. He also says more people are being kicked off planes for smoking in the bathroom because they’re nervous about flying. Thomas is the author of the book Air Rage: Crisis in the Skies (Prometheus Books).
