‘ENDURING FREEDOM’ INSPIRES TRADING CARDS

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) – Trading cards are going patriotic. The Topps baseball cards company is issuing a 90-card series called Enduring Freedom Picture Cards which will chronicle America’s new fight on terrorism. The most valuable card may be the one featuring Osama bin Laden, because it’s expected may kids will stomp on it, rip up it and throw it away. Topps’ previous patriotic cards have never become valuable because too many cards were printed. However, Rich Klein, a trading card analyst for Beckett.com, says if kids do tear up the bin Laden card, the few Osama cards that survive could theoretically be worth big bucks someday.
