CHEESE HELPED ACTRESS LAND ROLE OPPOSITE MARTIN LAWRENCE

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) – Actors often land parts based on their looks or talent – but up-and-comer Jeannette Weegar believes she clinched a role opposite Martin Lawrence by eating a piece of cheese. The actress – who plays Lawrence’s arch-nemesis “Princess Regina” in the new movie Black Knight – says during her audition, she noticed the director of the film was sampling a gigantic platter of fancy cheeses. Weegar admits she’s a “cheese freak,” so she couldn’t keep herself from asking for a slice – even though she knew it was bad manners. She thinks asking for the cheese helped her clinch the deal because it showed the director she isn’t afraid to be spontaneous – a necessary quality for someone acting opposite the freewheeling Lawrence. Black Knight opens November 21.
