RACIAL PROFILING GAME SHOW IN THE WORKS

MIAMI (Wireless Flash) – A proposed new TV game show hopes to answer the question of whether racial profiling exists in everyday life. The show – called First Impressions – will ask contestants to judge whether a complete stranger is good or bad by just looking at a few minutes of video footage of the person. Contestants will win prizes based on how accurately they guess the stranger’s moral character, sexual preference or other traits. Show spokeswoman Terry Trautman says she doesn’t expect contestants will be politically correct and hold their tongues because – in her words – “You put a camera in front of a someone’s face and it’s like administering a truth serum.” A pilot episode of First Impressions is in the works for a South Florida TV station and the producers hope the publicity generated by that broadcast will bring attention from TV networks and syndicators.
