‘NO BRAINER’ 2001’S MOST OVERRATED PHRASE

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) – If you think people who use phrases like “no brainer” have no brain, you’re not alone. In fact, the fashionistas at GQ magazine have picked “no brainer” as the year’s No. 1 “most overrated” phrase, thing or person. Executive editor Michael Haney says the decision to make “no brainer” No. 1 was easy, but not a no brainer because “nothing is that easy.” Other overrated items of 2001 according to GQ editors include.... No. 2: Nostradamus, who manages to become more popular the less accurate he is. No. 3: The Pillsbury Doughboy. Haney says the advertising icon has a “creepy smile” and looks like he’ll go postal if pressed in the tummy one more time. Finally, GQ editors says umlauts are overrated, mainly because no one knows when to use them.
