CHICAGO (Wireless Flash) – The average shopping mall Santa carries a lot of weight this time of year – 218 pounds to be exact. That’s the skinny from General Growth Properties, which has interviewed more than 130 mall Santas from all over the U.S. According to their stats, the average shopping mall Santa stands 5 foot, 9 inches, weighs 218 pounds, has a 43-inch waist and is about 52 years old. Other Santa stats..... “Here Comes Santa Claus” is the favorite carol of mall Santas but “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town” didn’t make the list. The Green Bay Packers are the mall Santas’ favorite sports tea, while five percent prefer the North Pole Wrappers. Finally, nearly 25 percent of all mall Santas plan to go to South Florida after Christmas.
