MUSIC PUBLISHER DYING FOR MORE FUNERAL SONGS

PONCA CITY, Oklahoma (Wireless Flash) – If the September 11 terrorist attacks have inspired you to write any songs suitable for a funeral, an Oklahoma-based music publisher is dying to hear them. Cletus Blubaugh says there’s a huge demand for funeral tunes to honor the victims of the tragedies but there’s also a grave shortage. He says the cemetery songs can be fast or slow, hip-hop or country, “...as long as the lyrics fit the music.” Although tunesmiths can be inspired by September 11, Blubaugh wants lyrics that can be performed at all kinds of funerals. He also suggests keeping the “hearse hits” short – so no one is bored to death. Blubaugh is offering cemetery songwriters $500 and a publishing contract, so if you’ve got a death ditty you’re dying for him to hear, check out www.spotlightstars.com
