PETTY THEFT HELPED BEN STILLERS PARENTS FALL IN LOVE
NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) The best way to steal a mans heart might be to commit a crime. Hey, it worked for Ben Stillers parents. His mom, Anne Meara, tells gossip reporter Baird Jones that hubby Jerry Stiller fell for her on the first date after she stole some silverware from the restaurant in which they were dining. Meara says shes ordinarily not a thief and only stole the spoons and forks so shed come across as someone with guts. However, Jerry immediately fell in love with her and kept begging her to join him as the next Bonnie and Clyde. Meara felt so guilty about making her future hubby think she was a thief that she finally confessed she had never stolen anything before or since. Although Jerry was disappointed, Meara says he stuck with her anyway because he was impressed by her acting ability.
