ALAN DERSHOWITZ SAYS BIN LADEN TRIAL WOULD BE BORING

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) – If Osama bin Laden is captured and tried in an American courtroom, the trial won’t be a nail-biter a la The Practice. In fact, attorney Alan Dershowitz says a bin Laden trial will probably be very boring because a good defense attorney would avoid putting the alleged terrorist on the witness stand. Dershowitz suspects any defense for bin Laden would focus on the government’s evidence against him, making the trial, in his words, “...technical, boring and focused on money trails.” It doesn’t sound nearly as gripping as the O.J. Simpson trial, but Dershowitz thinks that’s okay – as long as bin Laden actually gets a fair trial. Dershowitz will discuss bin Laden tonight on the Court TV documentary, Osama bin Laden On Trial.
