RAY MANZAREK ASKS ‘WHAT IF JIM MORRISON HAD LIVED?’

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) – For the past 30 years, some rock fans have believed that The Doors lead singer Jim Morrison faked his death in 1971. Now, Doors keyboardist Ray Manzarek is adding fuel to the rumors with this shocking revelation: A few months before Morrison died, he said that the Seychelles islands off the coast of East Africa would be “...a great place to disappear.” Manzarek figures in the off-chance Morrison is still alive, he’s probably in the Seychelles, living a laid-back existence and concentrating on his poetry. He also thinks Morrison would be completely sober and not need drugs to expand his consciousness. Make no mistake: Manzarek believes Morrison is dead but he speculates on the alternative in a new novel, The Poet In Exile (Thunder’s Mouth Press).
