MAN TO BUILD WORLD’S LARGEST LINCOLN LOGS STRUCTURE

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Wireless Flash) – A computer programmer from Rochester, N.Y. hopes to log himself into the Guinness Book of World Records by building the world’s largest Lincoln Logs structure. This Saturday, Vern Larkin and his 10-year-old son, Davey, will attempt to build a 4-foot-tall, 12-foot-wide building using 10,000 Lincoln Logs. Larkin says he’s been using Lincoln Logs nearly all his life and wants to set the record to honor his favorite toy, which celebrates its 75th birthday this month. The 53-year-old father admits he hasn’t practiced for the record attempt – and hasn’t played with Lincoln Logs in two years. However, he’s not worried since there’s no existing record for largest Lincoln Log building so, in his words, “There’s no way to screw up.”
