BEAT THOSE RECESSION BLUES: EAT ROAD KILL

SEATTLE (Wireless Flash) – George W. Bush is telling folks to fight the recession by hitting the road, but a road kill chef says while you’re at it, hit some animals too. Seattle-based road kill expert Buck Peterson suggests folks feed their families critters they’ve creamed with the car this Christmas. He says road kill is always popular in recessions, but things are so bad now he predicts run-over rabbits, flattened foxes and dinged-up deers will hit all-time highs in popularity with gravel road gourmets. Peterson thinks this holiday’s hottest dish will be “Donner Up Yonder,” a baked road kill reindeer dish he claims is “pretty tasty,” thanks to garlic and sage seasonings. Although some folks merely pick their vittles up off the side of the road, Peterson says the only way to ensure your food is fresh is to run over it yourself.
