SOUTH CAROLINA WOMAN IS LEONARDO OF THE LINKS

HILTON HEAD, S.C. (Wireless Flash) – A South Carolina woman is doing for golf courses what Vincent Van Gogh did for sunflowers. That’s because Linda Hartough is the world’s foremost golf course artist, immortalizing fairways, greens and sand traps from all over the world. You might think painting golf courses is simply a matter of not running out of green paint but Hartough paints a different picture. She says each hole has all sorts of unique nuances and that the best golfers know all the minute details. That’s why Hartough would rather have good reviews from Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson than hoity-toity art critics. In fact, Hartough says her paintings are so close to the real-life courses that she believes pro golfers could improve their game by meditating on them before big tournaments.
