GRAPEFRUIT: 2002’S POPULAR FOOD FLAVOR

CHICAGO (Wireless Flash) – Here’s food for thought: The most popular flavoring next year will be grapefruit. That’s the prediction of the U.S. consumer research group Mintel, which says grapefruit flavored candies, medicine, alcohol and chewable vitamin C will soon be popping up in stores. Other food trends on the burner for 2002 include... Carbonated juice and milk and other foods that fizz or pop in the mouth will be popular. Latin-style candies, seasonings and soda pop will make their way north of the border. Self-heating coffees and teas will be hot products. And finally, spray-on temporary tooth whiteners will be popular.
