NEW ZEALAND BABIES BREAK WORLD RECORD FOR ‘CLOSEST BIRTH’

PALMERSTON NORTH, N.Z. (Wireless Flash) – Two New Zealand babies have become Guinness World Record holders before the age of 3. That’s because 28-month-old Joe Bleackley is only 208 days older than his 21-month-old sister, Annie, and that has earned the Bleackley babies a spot in the Guinness Record Book for “closest birthdays of any siblings from separate pregnancies.” The Bleackley babies broke the old record of 209 days and Mother Jayne admits she was shocked to get pregnant just eight weeks after Joe was born. Although she’s proud of the offbeat honor, she says the last two years have been a roller coaster and has no plans to set new records. She says she made sure hubby Rob had a vasectomy right after Annie’s birth.
