Supermarket Rage Becomes Ultraviolent Epidemic

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) – Supermarkets are making some folks real basket cases, according to one expert. Martin Sloane, who writes the syndicated newspaper column “The Supermarket Shopper,” claims “Supermarket Rage” is on the rise. He says the phenomenon is triggered by people who want to shop as quickly as possible and get mad at anything that slows them down. In some cases, it can get really bad – like the lady who beat a shopper with her shoe for bringing 13 items in the “12 items or less” line. To help people avoid becoming victims, Sloane is handing out his own Supermarket Rules of Etiquette, including tips like... Never block an aisle with your cart. Always have your money ready when the cashier rings up your total. Finally, never EVER talk on your cel phone in the cashier line.
