Mensa Minds Meet For Game Marathon

BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. (Wireless Flash) – Those eggheady Mensa members will meet this weekend (Apr. 19-21) in Minnesota to give their brains a rest and play some games. They’re meeting for the 13th Annual Mensa Mind Games, where Mensans play more than 50 brand new parlor games over a three-day period, and will select the top five. In past years the brainiacs have selected games like Scattergories, Tri- Bond and Taboo. This year, they’ll test newcomers like Three Eyed Jack, Mr. Bigshot and Curses and deem which ones are worthy of the coveted Mensa Select seal of approval. It may seem like a lot of goofing around, but the chief judge of the event, Steven Weinrich, thinks there’s more to the equation. He claims the games improve the Mensan noggins’ logical problem solving skills which they can use to solve real problems like the world’s oil crisis.
