St. Lunatics Rapper Ali Raps About His Pants

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) – St. Lunatics rapper Ali’s new solo record, Heavy Starch, might have some stiff competition from this summer’s upcoming hip hop releases, but Ali says he has a secret weapon: stiff pants. Ali says the title of his new record refers to the style of pants he and his friends wear – stiff, starched jeans. Ali says he and pals like Nelly like to wear their jeans so stiff, they can stand up on their own, and it’s created such a phenomena in his native St. Louis, that he decided to name a record after it. However, Ali says the record’s lyrics have nothing to do with stiff pants, but instead discuss the kinds of “heavy issues” that St. Lunatics – which Ali calls “a party waitin’ to happen” – won’t tackle.
