Navy SEALs Like Their Romance Books

BOSTON (Wireless Flash) – America’s military men may be fighting terrorism – but they’re not forgetting their romantic side. According to romance novelist Suzanne Brockmann, who writes a series of books themed around Navy SEALs, there’s been a big demand in military- themed love stories since October – especially those dealing with the current battles. That’s no surprise to Brockman, who has been basing fictional villains on Osama bin Laden since 1996, although she doesn’t see his ilk as credible romantic rivals for the handsome Navy SEALs in her books. Brockmann’s books written before Sept. 11 have received high marks from real-life soldiers, but she’s not sure what they think of her post- attack work since, in her words, “They’re probably too busy to read.”
