The Knack Attempts Comeback, Variety Show Style

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) – Talk about dreaming big: The early 1980s new wave group The Knack is attempting two comebacks: One for themselves and one for the TV variety show. The group’s latest DVD, Live From The Rock N’ Roll Fun House, hits stores today (Apr. 23) and it’s a spoof of 1960s-style variety shows with The Knack as musical guests. Lead singer Doug Fieger says he’s always been a fan of variety shows and that’s where he saw many of his favorite bands and comedians for the first time. Although variety shows have been out of style since, well, The Knack, Fieger is confident they can both come back bigger than ever. In fact, he hopes the new DVD might be a pilot for a weekly variety show featuring the band.
