CINCINNATI (Wireless Flash) – A Franciscan-run website is helping Catholic parishioners cope with the current Church sex scandals with online greeting cards. Catholicgreetings.org has created inspirational cards for Church members to send to their priest to show their support. The card contains a “prayer for priests” and a place for senders to write their own words of encouragement. Website spokesman John Feister says a lay person came up with the idea, and the Franciscans liked the idea so much they jumped on it. Feister personally thinks bishops on the whole have done a good job, and this is a way to support them.
