Ex-Genesis Guitarist: ‘People Don’t Know I Quit the Band in 1977’
LONDON (Wireless Flash) – Former Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett quit the band in 1977, but he says a lot of people still think he was with the band right through their mid-1980s heyday. Hackett, who’s now touring as a solo artist, says often times when he’s on stage, people will request songs that he had nothing to do with – like “Tonight Tonight Tonight” and “Invisible Touch.” However, Hackett, whose last three solo records are about to be reissued, admits sometimes he just humors them and plays the songs anyway.
