Inflatable ‘Spider-Man’ Hanging Around Eight Cities

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (Wireless Flash) – Spider-Man inflated box- office sales over the weekend, but that’s not the only thing that was inflated. To hype up the web-slinging movie, eight 60-foot tall inflatable Spider-Men were attached to buildings and theaters around the world including Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Tokyo and Berlin. The inflatable Spidey appears as if he is crawling down the side of the building, and each blow-up doll is constructed of 388,000 square inches of vinyl-coated nylon, contains 80 miles of thread and weighs 400 pounds. The Spider-Men will remain up for the next several weeks.
